Description

The Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) immediately invites applications for openings for Research Fellow and Research Engineer positions in the areas of design and development of novel aerial robotics. Researchers will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of scientists, designers and engineers to design and develop an aerial robotic platform with agile manipulation capability.

Project Deliverables

This project involves:

Designing, modelling and developing a unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) with onboard serial and/or parallel-based manipulators for advanced tasks requiring manipulation at high altitudes.
Devising and integrating lightweight sensors and actuators to allow the aerial-based manipulator to be controlled and commanded.
Simulation and experimental trials to asses and evaluate the performance of the aerial-based manipulation UAV system.

Salary

We offer highly competitive salary which is determined based on the applicants’ research achievements, experience and qualifications. It is fixed-term and filled initially for 1 year with an option for extension for another year.
